Our Soirées

The goal of these small and elegant confections is to capture the essence of a perfect dinner party—great food, fine wine, engaging conversation, and delightful company—and extend it for an entire trip. The group should be intellectually curious and fun-loving. As hosts, we will provide the stories, the charm, and the keys to unlock magical opportunities. The location should vibrate with art, culture, history, stunning sights, and culinary delights. This time, it's two weeks in Spain’s southern Andalusian region, with its quaint villages, iconic historical landmarks, and unique culture, complemented by our optional extension to culturally rich Lisbon!

Andalucía & Lisbon

Explore the best of Andalucia with exclusive private after-hours access to the majestic Alhambra in Granada and the Lebrija Palace in Seville.  Enjoy skipping the lines with priority access to museums and UNESCO world heritage sites such as the Picasso Museum in Malaga and the exquisite Mezquita in Cordoba.  Discover the vibrant streets and sites of Seville; the beach towns along the Costa de la Luz near Cadiz; and the hilltop pueblos blancos (white villages), including the picturesque Vejer de la Frontera and the dramatic cliffside Ronda with its iconic bridge. Retreat to a serene villa surrounded by olive groves for a private flamenco performance while savoring authentic paella. Indulge in all of Andalucia’s gastronomic delights, from refreshing tinto de verano and creamy payoyo cheese to succulent jamón ibérico, traditional tapas, locally-caught tuna, award winning olive oil—all washed down with esteemed local wines. Witness the grace of the Andalusian “Pure Spanish” horse the in an unforgettable exclusive exhibition.

Your Tour Director and Study Leader

We will be accompanied by excellent local guides throughout our trip, personally vetted by your Tour Director, Dana Conley.

Dana fell in love with international travel while studying in Italy during her junior year abroad at Stanford University, where she majored in International Relations. Before founding Conley & Silvers (C&S) fifteen years ago, Dana’s career spanned from being a researcher in Asian security matters at the Pentagon and International security think tanks to art appraisal and directing an art gallery.  In 2009, Dana eventually made her home in France for six years, pursuing her passion for travel and cultural curiosities, and has explored over 50 countries in search of authentic adventures, beautiful meals, and life-changing moments to share with her private and organizational clients.

Via C&S, Dana’s goal is to provide guests with the highest level of customer service while creating magical, bespoke itineraries. Taking time to understand each traveler's purpose and passions, Dana and her worldwide team have joyfully cultivated a devoted following of treasured clients.   When Dana is not managing a tour or on a reconnaissance mission, she divides her time between Europe, the USA, and the Bahamas where visiting museums, yoga, golf, boating, and beach walks with her beloved dog Ruby reign as her favorite pastimes.

Born and educated in England, art historian Dr. Julian Brown made his home in Paris in 1986. He began leading tours around Europe in the early 1980s whilst he was an undergraduate student at the University of Durham, and he now spends much of each year conducting museum visits and historical walking tours in the French capital and provinces.

When not in France, he lectures on tours in Italy, Spain or Southeast Asia, where he adds to his art collection for his country chateau in Normandy. (ask him about his Vietnamese water puppets!) He has traveled extensively in Asia and has a PhD from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. In his spare time, he enjoys riding his bike around France and learning to play the cello.
